MEET JENN
Structure isn’t about control. It’s about safety.
I learned that from a student who spent most of his school day in tears, until a simple visual schedule showed him what came next. Within a couple of weeks he was checking it on his own, and for the first time I saw him relax at school.
Since then I’ve spent almost 20 years in classrooms, including a decade running my own autistic support room, and coached more than 100 special education teachers. Everything we do here comes back to that lesson.
